What is a Zine?

A zine is a self published booklet, kind of like a small magazine. Zines can discuss many different topics- from food to poetry to potlitics, they can be about anything really. Zines can be handmade by folding pieces of paper and stapling them, or they can be sent out to be printed and assembled through a manufacterer. They can involve many different types of artistic mediums like illustration, comics, poetry, photography, or collage. Zines can be big or small, by folding up a piece of paper or by getting a full booklet made. 

At Goldleaf Art Collective, we decided to curate collaborative zines showcasing a variety of illustrators to allow them to display their work in a community setting. We take pride in our participating artists and all the different styles that they bring to each zine!
